About Redwoods 

The Redwoods Program is named after the strong Redwood trees that grow in Northern California. Transplanting debilitates them. Raising them from seed to sapling endows longevity. The process by which these trees are cultivated from seeds to their current strong and tall stature is analogous to how DaVita wants to help grow its future leaders from universities across the nation. The Redwoods Leadership Development Program provides unparalleled development experience, mentorship by senior management, and training that will empower your development into a great leader.

Redwoods Resident and Summer Associate Programs

The Redwoods Resident and Summer Associate Programs build a diverse group of leaders for general management and leadership within DaVita.  The curriculum includes mentorship, executive exposure, and skill-building workshops.  Read below to find out more.

  • Resident Program

    The Resident Program is an intense nine month experience where you will have the unique opportunity to learn our global business.  We provide holistic DaVita learnings and access at all levels while expanding your leadership comfort zone.  You are exposed to the business and operational cornerstones that make DaVita the leading healthcare provider it is today.  During this time you will lead a team ultimately preparing you to run the operations of dialysis centers or a business division.  The goal is to support your growth and development in becoming a DaVita leader.

  • Summer Associate Program

    Redwoods Summer Associates lead projects for senior management in a variety of operational and strategic initiatives that have companywide impact. As a summer intern, you take on significant accountability and ownership, and often travel nationwide for project development and research. You will then synthesize a variety of analyses into effective and successful implementation strategies and present your results to a panel of vice presidents. Previous Summer Associates have taken advantage of DaVita’s open culture and met with many company executives. After a successful summer internship, Summer Associates are ideally offered a position in the Redwoods Resident Program upon completion of their MBA.

Redwoods Analyst and Summer Analyst Programs

The Redwoods Analyst and Summer Analyst Programs are designed to give you unparalleled, cross-functional opportunities to learn about our global business. As an analyst, you will be exposed to the business and operational cornerstones that make DaVita the leading healthcare provider it is today.  Read below to find out more.

  • Analyst Program

    The Analyst Program is a year-long experience focused around professional growth with a strong focus on the development of analytical, strategic, and entrepreneurial skills.  While being mentored, you will receive intentional up-front and on-going training including financial statement analysis, analytical modeling and presentation and communication skills. The goal is to support your growth and development in becoming a DaVita leader.

  • Summer Analyst Program

    The Summer Analyst Program is a ten week internship for students between their junior and senior years of school.  Summer Analysts participate in a project that will directly impact a variety of operational and strategic initiatives that span DaVita’s global business.  After a successful summer internship, Summer Analysts are ideally offered a position in the Redwoods Analyst Program upon completion of their undergraduate degree.
